<p style="text-align: left; "><span style="font-size: larger; ">I have been using eBay for the last 5 years, as well as selling surplus household items and unwanted gifts etc. I have also been following the methods described in my eBook &#8216;Prints Make Profits&#8217; to supplement my income.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: left; "><span style="font-size: larger; ">During 2009 my internet marketing business took off and I began to spend more and more of my time on this. Consequently my eBay business took a back seat. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: left; "><span style="font-size: larger; "> At the beginning of 2010 (new year resolution time!) I decided to dedicate one morning per week to my eBay business, this decision was partly due to my desire to further increase my income and partly to a need to &#8216;declutter&#8217; the wardrobe where I had been storing my stock of prints, mounts (mats) and envelopes!</span></p>
<p style="text-align: left; "><span style="font-size: larger; "> Since the start of the year I have focused on one particular niche that is very popular with collectors from several different countries and over the years I have learned which items command premium prices.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: left; "><span style="font-size: larger; "> I have used this experience to build up a stock of similar items from offline sources such as estate sales and live auctions and online sources including eBay and my &#8216;secret resource&#8217; (I reveal all of my secrets in &#8216;Prints Make Profits&#8217;.) </span></p>

With vintage collectibles low prices put bidders off, the key is to start high and if the item doesn&#8217;t sell, relist with a slightly lower starting price and repeat this process until you find the price point where your item consistently sells &#8211;  the optimum price for your items.</span></p>

<p style="text-align: left; "><span style="font-size: larger; "> People love a story so tell them one! Check out my descriptions, instead of just quoting the necessary, factual information such as age, condition, dimensions etc. I also describe where I obtained the item and what steps I had to take to prepare it for sale.</span></p>

<p>We just wanted to remind you of three important eBay policy changes that will begin to be enforced in early 2009.</p>
<ol>
<li> As you&#8217;ll recall, eBay started enforcing maximum shipping and handling charges on books, DVD&#8217;s and Movies, Music, and Video Games in October of 2008. Sellers were given until January 2009 to update their item descriptions to make sure that the first domestic shipping option is below eBay&#8217;s policy maximum. <li>eBay gave sellers a grace period for removing paper payment options such as checks and money orders from item descriptions. Enforcement begins in January 2009. <p>It is now time to promote my eBook and the key here is to drive as much targeted traffic as possible to my sales page at <a target="_blank" href="http://www.printsmakeprofits.com" title="Prints make profits">www.printsmakeprofits.com</a>.</p>
<p>I plan to use 3 techniques to achieve this and will explain the first one today (look out for future posts to my blog for further promotion tips)</p>
<p><strong>Writing and submitting articles</strong></p>
<p>Writing articles about your niche (in my case eBay) and submitting these to the various article directories for publication is an excellent way of driving targeted, free traffic to your website.</p>
<p>This simple technique merely requires you to write 400 to 600 words of informative content about your niche with a link to your sales page at the end.</p>
<p>It is vital to submit new articles on a regular basis so you enjoy a gradual snowball of traffic.</p>
<p>The &#8217;10 ways method&#8217; is a useful way of getting those ideas flowing:</p>
<p>10 ways to improve your eBay business</p>
<p>10 ways to get fitter</p>
<p>10 ways to lose weight</p>
<p>etc</p>
<p>The key is to entertain and inform your reader but to leave them wanting more which they find by visiting your website.</p>
<p>At the end of your article you should provide a&#8217;resource&#8217; box which is where you sell yourself as an expert in your chosen field.</p>
<p>You must submit your article to as many article directories as possible;</p>
