There is a lot of work involved in getting an e-course like this off the ground but I’m confident that everything will be in place for a September launch and I will, of course keep you fully informed as the launch date approaches!

Hi Stuart,
My favorite was Amazon FBA for several years. However, I never got into setting up my own products. Instead, my husband and I used our enjoyment of finding sales (retail arbitrage) and shopping yard sales and thrift stores to gather items to ship off to Amazon for selling. In our most successful year we sold $50k+. However, the model we were working came to a crashing end when Amazon no longer let sellers keep unlimited single items in the warehouse at no additional charge.
So, I’ve been searching for what to do next (while still selling items on Amazon and Ebay.)
I have your Prints Make Profit but have not yet applied it. It’s been one of those back burner items that I’ve been wanting to try. Maybe stating this publicly will push me to get started!
Thanks!
Stuart says
Thanks for sharing your story, Jenn!
This shows how important it is to not rely entirely on one income stream.
Best of luck with your future endeavors
Clarence Campbell says
Hi Stuart,
I have used your PRINTS FOR PROFITS program to sell over 130 vintage art prints on Etsy. One niche I recently discovered was Swedish artist Carl Larsson, who painted colorful scenes of family life in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. I bought a book, published in 1976, containing a collection of 46 of his paintings for $12.00. To date, I have sold 15 of them for $8.49 each, which provides a nice profit margin.
I look forward to hearing about your next program.
Best Wishes,
Clarence Campbell
Stuart says
Great job, Clarence!
I particularly like the fact that you have used the research tips in Prints Make Profits to identify a successful niche that I’ve never come across in my 13 years of research! – this shows how many great niches are out there just waiting to be discovered!
Jean says
This is something that really interests me! I would love to make money through Etsy.
Stuart says
Thanks for your comment, Jean!
Janie Wireman says
Hi Stuart, I have a growing stack of books from which to sell prints, but haven’t actually started that part of my business yet. I mostly sell vintage children’s books, but an interesting profit niche I have started is replacement board game parts. It is amazing how much higher the profit is selling games piece by piece versus selling the complete game; shipping is simpler, too. People are happy to find a replacement piece to complete a favorite game. One example is a Harry Potter chess set, purchased from a thrift store for $2: I sold the pieces individually and made $50 profit. Discontinued Monopoly tokens also do well.
I can’t wait to start selling prints; many of the pictures are so gorgeous!
Thanks,
Janie

Selling individual game pieces can be very lucrative – thanks for sharing, Janie!
James Farnsworth says
My favorite niche is clothing. It is easy to source and a lot of clothing sells for a lot. Plus there is no shortage of people needing it.
Stuart says
Hi James
Clothing isn’t a niche I have any experience of but I have heard of people making good money buying designer label clothes from charity shops in prosperous areas and flipping them on eBay!
Ann Davidson says
Hi Stuart! I purchased Prints Make Profits on 1.06.14. But “life” happens and I’m sorry to say that I couldn’t do it at the time, but I kept the info tucked away for a better time. I believe free updates were included with that purchase. How do I now get access to the updates from that long ago? Or must I purchase the most recent copy?
I am so looking forward to this new exciting endevor!
Thank You,
Ann
Stuart says
I’ve sent you an email with login details for the Prints Make Profits membership site, Ann
Julie Horton says
Hi Stuart. My niche is kitchen items, including recipes placed on special card stock paper that the kitchen item would be used for. For example, if I sold a mixer, I would include a couple of cake recipes, etc.
Thank you for all the great trainings you offer!!! Julie
Stuart says
Kitchenalia is an interesting niche that I have often come across during my research sessions – thanks for sharing, Julie!
Todd A Butterworth says
I have been reading you off and on for years and several different websites. I hope I win, you are the best, but I still haven’t jumped and tried anything, I wish I could just go for it, but I guess I’m chicken.
Stuart says
Thanks for your comment, Todd!
I always focus on ideas that don’t require skills or capital to get started in my training courses but you do need to take action – my advice is to pick an idea that resonates with your personal interests, take a deep breath and jump in!
I’m always available to provide advice and support.
Marty says
Hi Stuart,
I purchased your Prints Makes Profits and found it to be a wonderful source of info on this great way to make money.
Thanks much!
Marty
Stuart says
Thanks for your positive feedback, Marty!
Steve says
Stuart,
I’ve just started to sell vintage prints, printed onto old encyclopaedia pages. Along with printed quotes.
To differentiate my stuff I decoupage them onto hand made tiles. So that each is completely unique. The next stage is to do personalisation.
Steve
Stuart says
It is so important to differentiate your stuff when selling online and you have come up with a great way to achieve that, Steve – thanks for your contribution!
Jim Campbell says
Hi Stuart,
We sell personalised, printed balloons. Its a niche product OK, but not so easy to get into. Anyway after reading your course on Etsy I opened a shop and started selling on there. It’s working well for us, and while it isn’t making a lot of money yet there is more to go. The interesting thing is that 90% of our sales are to USA (we are in Northern Ireland), so it is a great way to sell to a market place that I had never sold to before.
Thanks
Jim
Stuart says
Great to hear you are having success with your Etsy shop, Jim!
Your experience echoes my own re. most Etsy buyers being US based.
My Etsy course can be found here; http://yourquickcashprofits.com/
Donald Stappenbeck says
Hi Stuart.I have most of the print sources you have made available. The one I am enjoying most is A Treasury of American Prints. When you first showed us this niche I purchased one copy, but since have purchased an additional five so when one sells I just relist it..They sell quite well on a regular basis and I use some of the listing strategies you suggested.I sell these both on Etsy and Ebay. Regards Don Stappenbeck
Stuart says
I’m delighted to hear you have been having success and making money with one of the niches I covered in my Prints Make Profits mini guides, Don!
Here is the link to find out more about this great niche; https://stuart-turnbull.com/ebay/3893/
Jean Meyer says
I just came across an Google Chrome extension called ShowSold for Ebay & Etsy. It’s a paid extension but it shows the ‘SOLD FOR’ price on eBay & Etsy embedded at the top of pages so that you can see the SOLD price quickly and easily. What a time saver as I’ve just ordered my first book of prints!
Stuart says
Thanks for sharing, Jean – I haven’t seen this before but it looks REALLY interesting – I found it at showsold.com
Donald says
Hi Stuart,
I’ve found another niche selling software which can be sourced for Free online. How are things with you mate.
Regards
Donald
Stuart says
All good here, Donald – long time no speak!
I’m enjoying the nice weather while it lasts!
Thanks for your niche idea.
Nan says
Stuart, I guess my favorite current niche would be Shakespeare.
Utilizing your flagship course Prints Make Profits, I remove prints from favorite and familiar Shakespeare plays (example: Midsummer Nights Dream aka Beauty and the Beast), sell the illustrations in my ebay store, and sell the ‘shakespeare words’ to crafters at Etsy in the Supplies category.
Books of Shakespeare plays are abundant, I look for the ones with good paper and clear, old-style typography. The book covers are also desirable to crafters. I’m happiest if I can part-out and sell the entire book!
Stuart says
I love the way you waste nothing, Nan!
What a great niche – and Shakespeare’s work is in the public domain so you can use quotes to adorn all manner of items.
Roz says
I have been recycling old magazines for the past 10 years. My husband started on Ebay selling old adverts and postcards.
Feeling guilty for cutting up perfectly good magazines I started selling articles, news items, photos especially targeting people interested in family history and specific locations, plus related public domain prints and maps. There’s a lot of people interested in family and local history, myself included, that are the lookout for anything connected to their family name, where they lived and worked.
Thanks to your courses we have also sold old book plates and upcycled old book pages with our own artwork designs. Thanks Stuart, and looking forward to your new course.
Best wishes
Roz
Stuart says
Thanks for your contribution, Roz!
There are a lot of great ideas here – and our old friend the public domain pops up again!
Ruth says
I sold reproduction vintage prints on ebay for a while and stopped only because Canadian postal rates increased. With the cost of photo mailers and acid free plastic photo protectors the increase in postage meant I was only making $2 a print in profit. It wasn’t worth the amount of time and energy it took.
My two biggest sellers were a collection of four American Indian Chiefs taken in the late 1800s and a specific crate label featuring a cat!
Stuart says
Thanks, Ruth!
‘Cats’ is one of my own fave niches – I’ve sold hundreds of cat prints from my Etsy shop!
steven says
I used to work with public domain historical maps many years ago and really enjoyed. The only drawback was the wide format printer was real expensive to buy.
Stuart says
Thanks for sharing, Steven – I know from my own research that historical maps are a very popular niche.
I see many sellers following the Prints Make Profits model selling pages from vintage atlases.
Chris says
Hi Stuart,
My brother’s favorite online profit niche is selling collector comic books on eBay.
He finds or buys certain books and then sends them to cgccomics (3rd party comic book grading service) and then resells them on ebay. He specializes in “Bronze” age comic books(1970 -1985).
With the interest in pop culture movies such as Batman, Guardians of the Galaxy, DeadPool, Wonder Women, X-Men, etc., I’m sure there are ways to tap into this market.
Looking forward to your next project!
Regards,
Chris
Stuart says
Hey, Chris – vintage comics is a red hot collector niche on ebay!
I never noticed it before but I just checked the ebay.com sold listings and many of the comics are getting multiple bids!
Thanks for sharing!
Laura Long says
I have a shop that I sell public domain images on. I love it and am making nice profits. I first research the subject matter or artist then sell similar items.
I also love doing the work 1 time and getting paid over and over.
Stuart says
Yes, Laura – “work once, profit many times” is one of my favorite slogans!
Marilyn says
I am using Public Domain images to make products on various venues. I started putting these on eBay, Etsy and Amazon. I love Public Domain pictures.
Stuart says
I love the public domain too, Marilyn – an absolute treasure trove of resources – it is amazing that you can fill a shop with popular products for zero cost!
Rey says
I’ve started matting dictionary prints with customization like name or important dates. For instance I have a couple kitchen niche prints with an image of different animals and their cuts outlined like loin on a pig for example. I then customize it with a name the customer specifies like Lola’s Kitchen or Gino’s Bistro. I print it and matt it and ship it to the customer. I signed up for amazon custom and have sold a few. Will move them to ebay and etsy as well.
Stuart says
This is a great idea, Rey!
I think the option to customize these prints will prove very popular on Etsy – thanks for sharing!
Bill says
I have a son-in-law who has access to lots of neon beer signs and he has stockpiled them in his garage. For awhile he would let me have a few and I would sell them on Craigslist. These signs would sell like hotcakes and I made a very handsome profit on each one. Unfortunately (for me), he hit the lottery for a million bucks and doesn’t want to sell them anymore (preferring to keep them stored in his garage). Also, he doesn’t seem to remember me anymore either. Oh well, just thought this might be something that some of your readers may find helpful.
Stuart says
Love your story, Bill!
Those signs appeal to collectors of vintage advertising and also breweriana collectors (2 very popular niches) so I’m not surprised they were snapped up!
Deanna says
My favorite online profit niche is drop shipping, especially baby and kid products. I have an online shop that specializes in products for babies and toddlers that will celebrate its 4 years in business this year and another online shop that specializes in products for kids and parents that will celebrate its 12 years in business this year. 🙂
I’m in the process of getting into the coloring, puzzle and workbook niche and hope it is as long lasting as drop shipping has been for me. 😉
Stuart says
There used to be a lot of negative press about drop shipping years back but I guess that choosing the right drop ship partner is the key and you are proof that it can be a very successful model – thanks for your comment, Deanna!
David Hastings says
I am always looking for new ways to raise money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).
Giles gave 19 cartoons to the RNLI and every year they choose one and put it onto the Giles Christmas Card for that year.
I buy up the 1990 Giles annuals which have all the cartoons in them, disassemble them, matt the cartoons and sell them at Lifeboat events, with all the profits going to then RNLI 🙂
Stuart says
I remember Giles cartoons in the Daily Express newspaper with affection!
This is a great example of Prints Make Profits in action and a great way to raise money for a very worthy cause, David!
Belinda Consten says
Stuart: I always buy every package you offer because you have wonderful ideas about making extra income using prints in different ways! I have a service business that utilizes “posters” that may be a bit different. I teach CPR ( Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation)to Professional service people such as nurses, doctors, EMTs and First Responders, as well as a Learn at home business that teaches everyday Moms and interested friends the use of CPR in Infants and Children. I include downloadable and physical fliers based on these posters that show the basics of CPR Life Support. I give them out to my clients to hang inside a cupboard door or elsewhere should they need a review of their training.
It may not be exactly a “for profit” way to share these items, although I could sell multiples also.
But as an add-on to a very important service for which I do charge it may be a simple twist on the type of thing you are doing.
I look forward to the new program. Sign me up!
Best Regards,
Belinda Consten
Stuart says
Currently there are no first aid posters for sale on Etsy (other than a few vintage 1960’s items) so this looks like a very interesting niche – thanks for sharing, Belinda!
Congratulations on the excellent and very important work you do!
